St John’s Chatham is undergoing a ‘once in a generation’ restoration. Thanks to the incredible generosity of a number of different organisations this landmark building that looked to be heading for dereliction will once again be a central hub for the wonderful community of Chatham and Medway.
National Lottery Heritage Fund, Rochester Diocese, Medway Council, Future High Streets Fund, Benefact Trust, Dorothy Kerin Trust, Church Commissioners and others have together funded almost all that is needed to complete this project but there is still opportunity for you to play a part.
Support this project to ensure that St John’s Chatham can be a central part of our community for many years to come.
Your donation will help to fund crucial elements of the final stages of this development. Your generous giving will go towards funding exciting elements such as the cleaning of the exterior brickwork, the purchasing of seating and other furniture and the installation of audio visual equipment that will allow the space to be enjoyed and utilised for generations to come.
Please use the page below to donate or get in touch if you’d like any more information. Please note that the Give A Little platform allows maximum donations of £1000. If you are in a position to give more please get in touch.
If you are interested in seeing the progress of the building work please consider booking in to one of our twice monthly site visits – they take place at 4pm on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month. Use our Church Calendar to book in for visits.
